Baloo
is an 11” jointed teddy bear.
He is made from just one piece of
mohair that is dyed with 2 shades of blue. I have cut him
out very carefully to achieve his 2 toned look. He has matching
blue ultra-suede pawpads.
Baloo is five-way jointed with hardboard disks and cotter
pins for that soft cuddly feeling. He can also stands on his
own very well.
Eyes are hand painted glass with multiple colors of green,
brown, gold and a few others. To helped create his expression,
I have used felted accents on his face. .
He also features my signature nose. It is sculpted with a
mixture of mediums, including wool for bulk and a variety
of glazes and other ‘stuff’. It is very permanently
attached to the head and feels just like a real nose.
Baloo is a very well made bear. His mouth has been sculpted
deeply, and no stitches ever show on my bears. The shading
is done with the finest artist markers to bring him to life.
Filled with polyfill and steel shot, he is a very substantial
hug for his size.
